If you follow my regular Sunday decor posts you might have guessed that I like my decor quite simple, monochrome with a few accent colours or patterns thrown in. That was until I happened upon House of Hackney that now have me thinking about happy chintz (as I’ve decided to name it). The brand that was started by husband and wife team Javvy M Royle and Fredia Gormley made it their mission to ‘take beige out of home decor’ and they’ve done that alright, with bird inspired wallpaper, palm print settees and animal print lampshades. With names of collections such as Dalston Rose, Hackney Empire, London Rose and a flagship store in Shoreditch this Made in Britain company are proud of their London roots. As if it couldn’t get any better House of Hackney also have a clothing line inspired by their interior prints. Check out their superb imagery that combines both their interiors and clothing on their website here and I’ve also included a few photos below to wet your appetite, let me know what you think?
